Our Story
Hospitality & Tradition since 1968
The story behind our company
Our parents, Michele and Silvana, moved to Bibbona from Rosignano back in 1968, settling on the farm they had purchased at a time when many Tuscan farmers were leaving the countryside to work in factories. They replaced two large patriarchal farming families. My sister and I were still very young, and our brother had yet to be born.
The entire farm was transformed to allow for mechanized operations: a new vineyard was planted, along with a specialized olive grove featuring the classic Tuscan cultivars—Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino, and Moraiolo—while the remaining crops revolved around livestock farming.
As the years went by, the family grew too. Our maternal grandmother became an invaluable help to the three of us, and helping our parents gave us a wealth of experience that would prove precious later on. Toward the late 1980s, a new activity began to join the mainstays of many farms: agriturismo, which our parents embraced with great enthusiasm.
Age of Transformation
In 1999, the farm and agriturismo changed hands: we two sisters decided to carry on our parents’ work. It isn’t easy to reconcile the many roles we hold as women—wives, mothers, and managers of these activities
We decided to close the cattle operation to expand the agriturismo, converting storerooms and stables—and highlighting the past by preserving the arches and ceilings typical of Tuscan tradition.
We moved the vegetable garden—still visible and accessible to guests—while expanding the children’s play area. Here and there, tools of the past sit alongside newer, more efficient machines.
Environmental care
We pay special attention to energy savings, using low-consumption light bulbs and the sun as a renewable source for electricity generation: on our roofs we have a 10 kW photovoltaic system, which reduces CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere.
